2020

The Beginning

Here is where KTK began. A group of 8th graders coming together during the height of the pandemic hoping to make a difference in our world. Through teaching a variety of topics to a younger audience, we hoped to not only provide access to the education that students lost during the pandemic, but also to inspire a culture of learning that would persist even in difficult times.

General Classes

Our first shot at teaching

Classes ran every Friday, split into two thirty-minute periods. We hoped to expose elementary school students to a variety of introductory topics. These classes intended to widen the students' horizons from a young age and cultivate a lifelong love for learning.

AMC8

The beginning of targeted classes

In contrast to the general classes we taught to younger students, in late October 2020, we set out to bring a new type of course to students. This was a specialized mathematics course aimed to improve students' computing ability in preparation for the AMC 8 test, an international mathematics examination administered to middle schoolers across the world.

This course marks the start of KTK's journey in offering more and more specialized courses for students with the goal of delving deeply into their interests.
